How many wins will the Arizona football team have in 2024?
Here’s an early game-by-game win-loss projection for the Wildcats for their 2024 schedule, starting with Arizona’s game against New Mexico on August 31 and ending with the game against Arizona State on November 30.
The Wildcats will play at Kansas State, BYU, Utah, TCU and UCF this season. They will host NAU, Colorado, Texas Tech, Houston and West Virginia.

Here’s a first guess at what the Wildcats’ schedule might look like for 2024.

August 31: New Mexico in Arizona
The Lobos finished 4-8 last season and hired Bronco Mendenhall as their new coach. Mendenhall is a great coach, but Arizona has a big talent advantage. The Wildcats are 30.5-point favorites, according to odds from BetMGM Sportsbook.

September 7: NAU in Arizona
The Wildcats beat the Lumberjacks 38-3 last season. We don’t think the outcome will be much different this season.

September 13: Arizona vs. Kansas State
This game is against a conference opponent, but is a non-conference game that was scheduled before Arizona joined the Big 12. Arizona could lose this game, but it wouldn’t hurt their conference position.

September 28: Arizona at Utah
Arizona’s first game in the Big 12 Conference couldn’t be more difficult: In Salt Lake City, the team has to play against former Pac-12 South rival Utah. The Utes are considered by many to be the favorites to win the conference.

October 5: Texas Tech at Arizona
The Red Raiders could be a tough team to beat in 2024, but the Wildcats are motivated for their first home game in the Big 12 Conference.

October 12: Arizona at BYU
BYU had a difficult first season in the Big 12, going 5-7 overall. The Cougars are strong in Provo, but the Wildcats will be looking for their first road win in the Big 12 Conference in this game.

October 19: Colorado in Arizona
Arizona beat Colorado 34-31 in Boulder last season, but now these teams meet in Tucson as Big 12 rivals, and we expect a similar result.

October 26: West Virginia in Arizona
The Mountaineers could be very strong this season after their 9-4 record in 2023. We believe they can handle the long road trip and defeat the Wildcats.

November 2: Arizona at UCF
Arizona has its longest road trip of the season with the trip to UCF. UCF has Arkansas transfer KJ Jefferson at quarterback, but we believe the Wildcats will get back to winning ways.

November 15: Houston, Arizona
Houston has a new coach in Willie Fritz after a tough 4-8 season in 2023. The Wildcats will be too strong for the Cougars.
Arizona football record: 7-3

November 23: Arizona at TCU
TCU disappointed in 2023 and hopes to make a comeback in 2024, but the Horned Frogs will not be able to stop the Wildcats’ offense in this game.

You can throw away the records in this game. You never know what will happen. However, the Sun Devils will not be able to keep up with the Wildcats in Tucson.
