By order of a federal judge, a complete list of all shareholders of X Holdings Corp., the company that owns social media giant X (formerly Twitter), has been released.

The disclosure came Tuesday in response to a request filed in July by the nonprofit Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press, which represented technology reporter Jacob Silverman. The request sought to release a list of shareholders compiled as part of a separate 2023 lawsuit brought by a number of former investors who claimed their arbitration agreements were violated following Elon Musk’s purchase of the company for $44 billion in October 2022.

The list includes dozens of individuals and companies, including Twitter co-founder and former CEO Jack Dorsey, Prince Alwaleed bin Talal al Saud of Saudi Arabia’s ruling royal family, and investment firms such as Baron Opportunity Fund and Andreessen Horowitz. Newsweek X asked for comment on Thursday outside of regular business hours via the press office’s Twitter email account.

After taking control of Twitter in October 2022, Musk restored the accounts of a number of prominent figures that had been suspended, including Donald Trump, Jordan Peterson and Andrew Tate. The former president was suspended after hundreds of his supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021.

Musk has since used the platform, which he rebranded as X, for a number of high-profile political interventions. In May 2023, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis used the platform to launch his ultimately unsuccessful bid to win the White House, and earlier this month Musk personally hosted a two-hour audio conversation with Trump, the 2024 Republican presidential candidate he supports.
