Free PlayStation Plus games for September announced early, both brand new releases

A packed month for PlayStation Plus subscribers

It’s already looking like a packed month for PlayStation Plus subscribers, with two games being added to the service on day one.

PlayStation Plus is regularly updated with existing games, from free Essential tier games to additions to the Extra Games library and retro classics now added to the Premium category.

One such classic is Time fragments 2together with any other TimeSplitters game!

However, it is very rare for a brand new game to be released directly in PlayStation Plus. A good example of this is the online multiplayer game Foam stars.

In September, two games will be added to the launch of the PlayStation Plus service, The brave squire And Harry Potter: Quidditch Masterwhich both look like firecrackers.

GAMINGbible recently released a preview The brave squireand called it one of the most “enjoyable and inventive” games of the year so far.

The game itself is a 3D platformer with 2D sections in which a fairy tale character jumps from the pages into the real world.

Scheduled for release on September 17th of this year, it will launch on PlayStation Plus on day one, although it will also be available on Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

The other game that will be added to PlayStation Plus on launch day is Harry Potter: Quidditch Master.

Harry Potter fans may have initially been disappointed by Hogwarts Legacy because no Quidditch mode was included, but this was probably a conscious decision since they were working on this game at the same time.

Based on the gameplay we’ve seen so far, it looks like Rocket League But with a twist in the wizarding world. Fans can play it for free with PlayStation Plus on September 3rd, at no additional cost.

Whether these two titles are your thing is something you’ll have to decide for yourself on their respective release dates, but since you can play them for free with your subscription, there’s no harm in trying them out, right?
