Fortnite is reportedly working on a sponsorship system to push it further than any other game ever made

Fortnite has evolved from a simple battle royale to a full franchise with spin-offs and people making careers solely out of it.

A well-known leaker recently released news showing that Epic Games will double down on the revenue-generating portion of its game and expand opportunities for developers. The studio seems to want to support its developers, and these changes only seem to reinforce that view.

A sponsorship system for Fornite developers is in development

Epic Games is no stranger to breaking new ground in the gaming industry, and this developer sponsorship system is designed to Fortnite Streamers don’t seem to deviate from the direction they’ve always taken.

The news comes from @Krowe_moh and was reported by @ShiinaBR on X/Twitter. Epic Games is reportedly working on a new system to help developers secure sponsorships and manage those transactions.

This isn’t some vague shout-out system, but rather creators can set their budgets and manage their ad spend through a CPM system like YouTube.

This goes far beyond asking your viewers to use your Creator Code and will undoubtedly change the lives of some of the game’s dedicated streamers.

That’s not all the exciting news though. @Krowe_moh also revealed that the studio is working on developing something related to sponsored experiences.

Not in the sense of in-game advertising, but that entire companies can sponsor new cards. Imagine running through a Avatar-Thematic map– it’s more in that direction.

A sponsorship system is a great step for creatives

People have made their entire careers streaming or creating content for Fortnitetherefore, official support in this sense, beyond the creator codes, will be a game changer for many creators.

It could make the difference between streaming as a hobby or doing it full-time and making a living from it.

However, one player asks a good question: Before making any big plans, it would be good to know what requirements are needed to participate in this program.

We have to wait for an official statement from Epic on this matter.

As many have already pointed out, this is a great success for Fortnite Developers. Streamlining sponsorship for the game will make it much easier for developers to dedicate their time to the game. It’s a win-win situation for the company and the developers.

If this expands to all the spin-offs, the syncs will get bigger and bigger.
