MANKATO, Minnesota — Seniors of the State of Minnesota Marshall Foerner And Maven Kretche were named to the Reese’s Senior Bowl Watch List.

Now in its 12th season, the annual watch list offers a glimpse into the Senior Bowl scouting process as it begins previewing eligible college players.

An offensive lineman from Plano, Illinois, Marshall Foerner was named to the Elite 100 First Team Offense after playing in all 12 games last season, including 11 starts. Foerner was named to the All-NSIC First Team and D2CCA All-Super Region Four Second Team as he helped the Mavericks rush for 2,548 yards and 28 touchdowns. Foerner has played in 33 games in his three seasons with the Mavericks, including 29 starts.

A defensive player from Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, Maven Kretche started all 12 games for the Mavericks last season and led the team in tackles for loss with 13 and sacks with 10.5. He was named to the All-NSIC First Team before being named to the AFCA All-American Second Team. Kretche has played in 35 games in his three seasons with the Mavericks, recording 26 tackles for loss and 17 sacks.

The Reese’s Senior Bowl is widely considered the preeminent All-Star game in college football and the first stop in the NFL Draft process. The longest continuously running All-Star Game has been held in Mobile, Alabama, for the past 75 years. More than 900 NFL personnel, including key decision makers from all 32 teams, and over 1,100 media members from across the country were accredited this year. Last April, the game selected a total of 110 players, representing 43 percent of the entire NFL Draft. This year’s game will take place on February 1, 2025 at 1:30 p.m. at Hancock Whitney Stadium in South Alabama.

Minnesota State opens its season on Thursday in Maryville, Missouri, against #22 Northwest Missouri State. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. at Bearcat Stadium.
