The list ranks companies based on three years of annual revenue growth and is considered America’s entrepreneurial benchmark. Fleet Feet is ranked 2,121 on the list, making it the fourth fastest-growing company in North Carolina and the 48th fastest-growing company in retail.

The 2024 Inc. 5000 list includes companies from every state and Puerto Rico that range in size from one to 262,079 employees and have approximately $2 million to $15.5 billion in 2023 revenue. Inc.’s editorial team conducts an intensive secondary vetting process for each company on the list, interviewing select founders and conducting background checks to guard against companies with a checkered history. To be considered for the Inc. 5000 list, a company must be privately held, for-profit and independent. The company must also have had at least $100,000 in revenue in 2020 and at least $2 million in revenue in 2023.
