“Did you know that most filmmakers spend their entire lives making one version of the same film? And I wonder… are they the only ones?” Mubi has a trailer for My first filma hybrid documentary and feature film by Zia Anger. It is an autobiographical look at trying to become a filmmaker and the struggles and problems of filmmaking, especially at a young age. The film premiered at the CPH:DOX Film Festival 2024 earlier this year and is set to be released streaming on Mubi in the fall. Young filmmaker Vita recalls her first chaotic attempt at filmmaking, 15 years ago. Vita’s eager but inexperienced approach to producing a semi-autobiographical film starring her friend Dina causes the production to descend into chaos, resulting in significant disruption and a near-fatal accident. “Facts blur with fiction and past, present and future merge into a modern myth that redefines the act of creation.” Cast Odessa Boy And Devon Rossand many others. This looks interesting, although not The overall captivating, another one of those “I couldn’t really make a film, so here’s a film about me trying to make a film” films.
