Fans unmasked: Prominent cast of “Traitors” – including Harry Potter star

Excitement is high as The Traitors is set to expand its empire with a celebrity edition and a fourth civilian season, it was announced yesterday at the Edinburgh TV Festival, and fans are already speculating about which celebrities will be joining the cast.

Kalpna Patel-Knight, BBC’s head of entertainment, could hardly contain her enthusiasm: “‘The Traitors’ has definitely established itself as a can’t-miss highlight of the year and the news of a fourth season and a brand new celebrity version on the BBC will take the series to a whole new level.”

“It will once again be fascinating for our audience to see who will outwit, outsmart and outlast us. Let the mind games begin!” Excited fans took to Reddit to share their predictions and wishlists for the celebrity cast. One user suggested: “Miriam Margolyes,” to which another gushed: “YES that would be brilliant, the only downside is it would have to be rated 18+.”

Another fan suggested: “David and Victoria Coren-Mitchell,” to which he replied: “I think Victoria CM and Val McDermid would be the best traitor team ever!”

Suggestions even included stars from Ru Paul’s Drag Race UK. One user said: “I’d guess Vivienne, Lawrence Chaney, Danny Beard or Baga Chipz for the Drag Race UK queen,” reports the Express.

One fan tweeted: “The Spice Girls. If Netflix could get two of them for their low budget The Circle, The Traitors would be much better.”

We are all excited to see which celebrities will grace the hallowed halls of the castle and be ready to engage in a game of deceit and betrayal.

“The Traitors” has captured the hearts of BBC audiences, captivating viewers with suspense and drama in its first two seasons.

The previous season’s thrilling finale, with Harry Clark winning £95,000, reached new heights, attracting a whopping 8.03 million viewers at its peak.

Rumours are already rife that the third season has already been filmed and is set to premiere on BBC One early next year. As with the last season, which started in January, Claudia Winkleman will once again be at the helm.

The show’s trophy cabinet is filling up quickly; its accolades include a TV Bafta, a National Television Award and a Royal Television Society Award.
