LAKE MARY, Florida. – Fans once again filled the Friend Confines to support the Lake Mary All-Stars as they faced Texas of the Southwest Region in the Little League World Series.

The All-Stars, who lost their first game of the series, received a strong reaction from some of their youngest fans as they watched their team suffer a defeat.

“A lot of stress. I thought, ‘You can win this.’ A thousand thoughts were going through my head,” said 8-year-old Quinn.

“I thought they would win, but at the end of the day they can try again next time,” said 8-year-old Adilyn.

Despite the loss, the series is a double elimination system and many fans remain confident that the All-Stars can fight back and stay in the series.

“It’s a win-lose game. They lost this one. They played a really good pitcher. You can’t take anything away from Texas, but we’re going to come back stronger. These kids have been through this. They’re going to come back tomorrow night,” said Brent Fieser, vice president of Lake Mary Softball. “We’re behind you no matter what. Win or lose, it doesn’t matter. This is great. We’re all here with our families and friends.”
