Samanta Klinč, who played the girl Eloise Midgen in the film “The Goblet of Fire” from the “Harry Potter” series, revealed that the children who stood as candidates were only paid £2.91 per hour.

Eight films that adapted the story of the novel Joanne Kathleen Rowlingwere filmed in the Warner Bros. production between 2001 and 2011, and the main roles were interpreted by Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson I Rupert Grinlike Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley. Together with the three “Fantastic Beasts” productions, this film franchise ranks fourth among the highest-grossing films of all time.

However, as Klinč explained, not everyone who took part in the films benefited greatly. She was an extra in the role of Prisoner of Azkaban, while in the fifth she played the character Eloise.

“Let’s talk about how much we got paid as extras in the Harry Potter films and how much I got paid for the role of Eloise Midgen,” the actress says in a video she posted on the social network TikTok.

“For example, Daniel Radcliffe was paid $11 million for ‘The Goblet of Fire’, which is nine and a half million pounds. We were invited to breakfast in the off-set area at five in the morning and returned by bus when it was at its busiest. Are you ready to hear how much we earned? £35 a day. That’s £2.91 an hour,” she said.

She claims that she was paid double for the role of Midgen, meaning she received £70 per day she spent on set. Despite the low daily rates, however, she stresses that everyone was provided with food during filming.

Meanwhile, the HBO corporation has announced a major television project that will involve the remake of seven novels, with each season of the series expected to be dedicated to one book.

In February, Warner Bros. confirmed that the first season will premiere on HBO Max in 2026.

“We don’t hide our excitement when it comes to Harry Potter. We’ve spent a lot of time with Rowling and her team. Both sides are thrilled to see the franchise return. “My wife and I read Harry Potter to our children… It’s really touching that we’ve been able to give people the opportunity to watch Harry Potter on HBO for 10 years now,” he said.

It is not yet known who will play the title character, as well as the other roles that fans are eagerly awaiting.

Radcliffe, who became known worldwide for his role in “Harry Potter,” clarified that he was “not informed” whether he or any of his co-stars would appear in other roles in the series.
