Given the weather conditions expected, it’s best to limit the amount of time you and your pet spend outside. If your job requires you to work outdoors, make sure you stay hydrated and take frequent breaks in the shade or an air-conditioned environment. Children and pets should NEVER be left in a vehicle as the temperature inside is much higher than the air temperature outside. Additionally, you shouldn’t walk dogs on asphalt in this weather as the surface temperature is significantly higher and can injure paws. It’s also a good idea to check on your neighbors and elderly people to make sure they’re OK!
