Construction of a Harry Potter restaurant for evil wizards in the Epic Universe is progressing and Toad has arrived in Super Nintendo World!
Aerial photographer Bioreconstruction took a flight over the Epic Universe construction site on August 23, 2024. From the air, he took photos of show elements under construction in each of the park’s five worlds: The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, Super Nintendo World, Dark Universe and How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic
As Epic Universe construction workers dismantle scaffolding throughout the Ministry of Magic in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, bioreconstruct was able to get a first look at an area dedicated to evil wizards.
In the photo below, it is marked by the visible word “Gobelet” and a skeleton hand. Le Gobelet Noir will be a fast-food restaurant where, according to Universal, “international dark witches and wizards will meet to escape the prying eyes of the Paris ministry and enjoy a hearty meal over hushed conversation.”
At the end of another alley, Epic Universe construction teams erected a statue that reads: “Peracta Magica MDCCXC”
The Roman numerals indicate the year 1790. The corresponding words translated from Romanian mean “magic”.
Another possibility is that the words literally translate from Latin to mean “the spell completed.” However, we might assume that this is another way of saying “mischief done!”
Construction of Super Nintendo World
Over in Super Nintendo World, I see something I don’t see…
…Toad! He’s part of the colorful scenery along the track of Yoshi’s Adventure, a slow ride high above Super Mario Land.
Nearby, Bowser’s recognizable figure takes shape. This becomes the entrance to Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge, an indoor dark ride.
Next door in Donkey Kong Country, Epic Universe builders have begun landscaping around Mine-Cart Madness, the track-jumping roller coaster, which looks more and more like DK’s lush jungle with each construction update!
