For those occasions, our Osaka-born reporter Marie Morimoto recommends grabbing yourself the famous beef cutlet sandwich from Yokoowhich is conveniently located in the food court next to the waiting room near Shinkansen platforms 25 and 26.
The Osaka Noren Meguri food court has plenty of great options for those looking to grab a quick local treat before heading out of town, but Marie recommends heading straight to Yokoo in the back left.

Marie recommends the small “Gyu Katsu Sando(“Beef Katsu Sandwich”), which is conveniently cut into four pieces and costs 1,180 yen (US$8.04).
The clerks here know that speed is a top priority for customers, and every time Marie stopped by Yokoo, she received her sandwich about three seconds after ordering. That happened again this time: The employee simply grabbed a package right next to the counter, quickly put it in a bag and handed it to her.
These packages are the store’s most popular product and are always available, so you don’t have to worry about missing your train. Once you take a seat on board, you can bask in the feeling of having just purchased one of the best sandwiches in town.
