The next chapter of Fortnite is just around the corner and the gaming community is more than excited. The president of Epic Games wasted no time and decided to join the hype train by teasing the player base with just one word that piqued the interest of hardcore gamers.
The game developers are known for taking the live service project to exciting new levels with each chapter, and this one is no different. The live service structure is all the rage these days, and Epic Games is leading the way with no intention of giving up its edge to the competition.
The next chapter of Fortnite could be the best yet
Epic Games has consistently released high quality content and met the expectations of the gaming community in the previous chapters. Mark Rein is the Vice President of Epic Games and subtly indicated the introduction of more deadly vehicles Fortnite in Chapter 5, Season 3 through a post on X. Rein tried to do something similar for the upcoming season and used only one word to describe it.

Last season was a mix of emotions and not everyone was thrilled with the new additions. Other players claimed that the deadlier cars in Chapter 5, Season 3 were the perfect balance between poisonous and funny gameplay and drove a wedge between the gaming community and the developers.
Some fans think Epic Games has gone too far and that was the wrong approach and didn’t work the way the studio intended. The previous season offered a fast-paced and action-packed experience, but discouraged the player base from playing competitively because most of the new items were too broken and overpowered.
The gaming community hopes Epic Games will do better in Fortnite Chapter 5, Season 4
Rein described Chapter 5 Season 4 as “absolutely,” which can mean a lot of things. Perhaps this season will be a palate cleanser to restore the game’s former glory, and the developers will likely remove content that didn’t sit well with the gaming community.
It is rumored that the upcoming season of Fortnite will feature another collaboration with Marvel. Chapter 2, Season 4 was arguably the strongest yet, and fans are expecting a return to that level of excitement and quality.
This crossover with Marvel brings back the elements that made the game so popular back in the day and could potentially restore the live service game’s reputation.
Epic Games has always thrived on its collaborative nature, with a few exceptions when things didn’t go as planned. Hopefully, the game developers will come back even stronger and make the necessary improvements in areas where they may have fallen short last season and chalk it up to experience.
Mark Rein can create excitement and stir up some buzz in the gaming community, which could potentially help the game regain its popularity after Chapter 5 Season 3 only gained moderate popularity. Hopefully, this season will meet or even exceed the expectations and high standard set by Chapter 2 Season 4.
