Epic Games recently announced the Fortnite Webshop that offers players another way to view and make their purchases Fortnite Things from the item shop.
This webshop works similarly to the item shop in the game Fortnite. Players can also purchase items by applying Support-A-Creator codes, just like in-game on their console or PC.
This is beneficial for players who like to keep track of what is on offer in the shop, especially if there is a specific item they are waiting for to arrive in the shop without having to wait for Fortnite.
The Fortnite The web store is updated every day at 5pm PT. Each time, new items may be introduced and some may be discontinued. At the time of writing, the store offers skins for Marvel’s Hulk, Hela, Deadpool, Wolverine, and Guardians of the Galaxy. There are also outfits and packs from John Wick, Ninja, Lewis Hamilton, Raiden, and Loserfit that you can pick up.
If you would like to apply a Creator Code to support your favorite content creators, you can click on the star icon in the top right corner of the Fortnite Webshop and enter the corresponding code before your purchase.
Epic Games’ decision reflects their ongoing efforts to create independent ways to Fortnite. This also means that players now have the option to purchase in-game items without relying on stores from companies like Apple or Google, and can also forgo the platform fee in the process.
Epic Games fought against Apple and Google to prove that both companies have a monopoly on the app market in their respective stores. While Epic Games lost its case against Apple, the company won against Google, which was found guilty of having a monopoly on the Android app market.
