The actress, who played Hermione Grainger in the wizarding film series, said she was “surprised” by her co-star Rupert Grint‘s vulnerability in a scene they experienced together.

In the special “Return To Hogwarts,” which marked the 20th anniversary of the release of the first film, Emma and Rupert were seen in tears as they talked about their shared past.

“That was the most emotional moment for me,” she said in an interview with British Vogue.

“When Rupert says something, he means it. I was surprised at how vulnerable and kind he was in public.

“It was similar with Dan (Radcliffe, who played Harry). I was really touched by how thoughtful he was over the years about how different it had been for me as a girl.”
