Elons Vatne on United Soccer Coaches’ watchlist for midfielders
KANSAS CITY, Missouri (August 9, 2024) – Elon Men’s Soccer Seniors Scott Vatne has been named to United Soccer Coaches’ preseason midfielder watch list, the coaching association announced Friday.
Vatne has been selected to the All-CAA first team twice and earned a spot on the Hermann Trophy Watch List a year ago. The Norwegian has scored 12 points in each of the last two years, including three goals and six assists (a team-high) in 2022 before adding four goals and four assists in 2023. Vatne has earned All-Atlantic Region honors the past two seasons.
Vatne joins Monmouth defenders Olle Brorsson And Gabe Dahlinalong with the reigning CAA Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Year Lauren Bruno from Monmouth, who secured a spot on the preseason defender lists released by United Soccer Coaches on Tuesday,
