Short game overview:
Elemental Exiles is a story-driven deck-building roguelike. Players choose one of 12 heroes to travel the world with while building a dynamic deck of cards, battling monsters, and navigating narrative events. Each hero starts in a different location on the world map and has their own personal story to complete, along with a unique starting deck and a permanent gameplay-changing boon.
Some of the features that set Elemental Exiles apart from other roguelike deckbuilders:
– The focus of the game is to uncover the 12 interwoven character stories and fight your way through to the end of each one.
– A semi-permanent open-world map that players can explore from different starting points depending on their chosen character.
– A card durability system that constantly offers the player interesting tactical and strategic decisions, as all cards found have a limited use before they are destroyed
Development overview:
Elemental Exiles has been in development for over 3 years and was developed by Daniel O’Byrne, a solo game developer from Dublin, Ireland. Daniel has been developing games professionally for nearly 15 years and founded Final Game Studio in 2017 to develop and publish his own games. While the studio has previously released several successful mobile titles (such as AuroraBound and AuroraHex), Elemental Exiles is the studio’s first major PC-focused release.
