Elanco’s Elwood site produces and ships its monoclonal antibody against canine parvovirus and will be the headquarters for that production in the future, according to Governor Kelly’s office.

Kelly’s office said the project will help strengthen the local economy, generate increased tax revenue and create a stable, long-term employer in Elwood.

“Kansas is located in the heart of the Animal Health Corridor and is a center of this important sector, attracting companies from across the country and around the world,” Lieutenant Governor and Secretary of Commerce David Toland said, “Elanco is an excellent example of the world-class employers the Kelly-Toland administration wants to partner with to develop the state’s economy.”

Burns & McDonnell, headquartered in Kansas City, will lead the expansion project as the primary provider of design and construction services.
