The event also had a major impact on the lightweight division, as Dan Hooker defeated Mateusz Gamrot in the main event. The UFC rankings were changed to reflect the results, especially in the pound-for-pound (P4P) division.

Let’s take a look at the biggest rankings changes at UFC 305.

After his fourth-round stoppage to Adesanya at UFC 305, Dricus Du Plessis remains the middleweight champion but moves up six spots in the men’s P4P rankings.

Du Plessis is now ranked number 6 in the men’s P4P, behind Belal Muhammad and ahead of Sean O’Malley. His move has seen O’Malley, Leon Edwards, Alexander Volkanovski, Tom Aspinall and Max Holloway each drop one place.

Adesanya has dropped two spots in the P4P rankings, now ranking on the edge of the list at #15. As a result, Sean Strickland has moved up two spots to #13, which could be because his next fight is rumored to be a rematch against Du Plessis.

Dan Hooker is arguably the biggest winner of UFC 305. He moved up six spots in the lightweight division after defeating former No. 5-ranked fighter Mateusz Gamrot. Hooker is now ranked No. 5, behind the likes of Dustin Poirier, Justin Gaethje and Charles Oliveira.

Champion Pennington loses in the ranking

Bantamweight champion Raquel Pennington has dropped three spots in the P4P women’s rankings to No. 8, putting her behind five non-champions on the P4P list. Erin Blanchfield and Rose Namajunas have passed Pennington, presumably for their announced main event on November 2 in Edmonton.

Rozenstruik in the top 10

Jairzinho Rozenstruik has returned to the top 10 of the heavyweight division after his perfect performance against Tai Tuivasa. Tuivasa dropped three places to 13th.
