Wild video footage shows the dramatic moment when a Good Samaritan and a police officer save a woman from drowning in the water.

A recently released bodycam video shows Jonquetta Winbush’s 12-year-old son panicking as he flags down a police officer to save his mother.

Winbush had suffered an epileptic seizure while driving in West Orange, Texas, and crashed her vehicle into a body of water.

“She’s having a seizure. She’s drowned,” the little boy screamed, pointing to the spot where his mother was stuck in the water.

After making sure the boy was safely stowed in the police vehicle, the officer waded into the water to the mother’s sunken car.

The officer, together with a Good Samaritan, managed to break into the car and rescue the woman.

Epifanio Munguia was the Good Samaritan who, along with West Orange police officers, risked his life to save the woman.

At the time of the accident, Winbush’s two children were in the car, but both were able to escape and call for help.

The incident occurred in July – but more than three weeks later, Winbush is still in intensive care, although she has been taken off the ventilator and is now breathing independently.

Winbush’s family members have expressed their gratitude to those who rescued her.

“After seeing her, I was overwhelmed with emotion, so I wrote to him and wanted to personally thank him for being there for my niece and nephew and ultimately my sister because he really helped save their lives,” said Bevnisha Holman, Winbush’s sister.

Holman has even stayed in touch with Munguia, who she says is very committed to her sister’s recovery.

The Good Samaritan even stopped by St. Elizabeth Hospital to visit her and check on the family.

“It’s good to know that this is getting attention because we want Jonquetta to get better and people are praying for her and maybe getting her more help after she gets better. That’s what’s really important to me,” Munguia said.
