Did you know Dragon Age: The Veilguard will a release date be announced today? No? Well, you are not alone since Dragon Age: The Veilguard was officially revealed two months ago and the gameplay trailer was released, there was nothing but radio silence from Bioware. A strange decision considering that Dragon Age: The Veilguard will be released this year on October 31ststvery close by. But there might be a reason for that, because recently the video game icon Game Informer closed after 33 years in business, and it looks like Game Informer Dragon Age: The Veilguard Marketing campaign to the grave.
I realized that GameInformer had exclusive coverage rights for Dragon Age: The Veilguard. Literally all of the prerelease marketing, info, and interviews are dead. Holy shit, dude

Not exactly the situation you want when you’re releasing the latest title from a major IP that’s barely alive after over a decade of layoffs, delays, and cuts. Bioware as a company has had Mass Effect 2 in 2010 and Dragon Age himself has probably since Dragon Age: Origins in 2009. The fact that the trailer for this latest foray into Thedas received pretty negative reviews and there was absolutely nothing in terms of marketing afterward must really hurt for Bioware and the team that put all that hard work into this game, and even Dragon Age The valiant Twitter account links to outdated and deleted articles and tweets since Game Informer went bankrupt.
Bioware’s upper management needs to jump out the windows now https://t.co/wQrTlg0yIZ pic.twitter.com/P7HbSUwANX

This is not the best look for Dragon Age: The Veilguard. The series needs all the help it can get, but it seems like it’s had nothing but bad luck over the past decade, and this situation with Game Informer, possibly the first instance of such a thing happening, seems to be a cruel joke on top of everything that’s happened.
