14.08.24 – Welcome to the DragChamp Jr. Racer Top 10 list presented by Laris Motorsports Insurance. Each week we rank the best junior racers in the country based on their weekly performances. Nominations are accepted every Monday night on our Facebook page.

DragChamp Jr. Racer Top 10 List

1 – Carson Wied

Carson Wied takes the top spot on this week’s top 10 list after making three finals at the Bottom Bulb Bash at US 131 Motorsports Park. He won the 8.90 Index on Friday, took the Advanced Jr. Dragster win on Sunday and finished second in the Advanced Jr. Dragster class on Saturday. Carson also made it to the final round of golf cart racing on Saturday night.

2 – Dawson “D-Pain” Rogers

DragChamp Pro member Dawson “D-Pain” Rogers sits in second place after winning the $5,000 main event at the Great American Bracket Races Back to School Jr. Dragster Spectacular over 10 laps on Saturday. This win comes just a week after his victory at the NHRA Division 4 JDRL ET Finals. So far this season, Dawson has reached 17 finals and earned 12 wins.

3 – Tucker Mack

Following his win last weekend at US 41 Dragstrip, Tucker Mack continued his strong performance, securing a second-place finish on Saturday and a win on Sunday at Coles County Dragway. In addition to his success, Tucker also picked up a win in Jr. Street over the weekend.

4. Camron Nelson

DragChamp Pro member Camron Nelson returns to the top 10 list after extending his winning streak to three weeks in a row. This past weekend he won the IHRA points race at Xtreme Raceway Park driving an electric Jr. Dragster. The weekend before that he was crowned NHRA D4 15-17 champion and the week before that he won a Wally at Texas Motorplex. This weekend he also made two consecutive finals in the Sportsman class, securing his first win in a big car.

5 – Brendan Nuttall

Brendan Nuttall rounds out the top five by taking two wins and a second place at Bristol Dragway last weekend. He started the weekend with a win in Jr. Street, which also secured him the Jr. Street championship. He also took the win in Footbrake that same night, where he competed against an extremely strong field. Brendan followed that win with a second place finish in his Jr. Dragster on Sunday. He has made the finals four times in the last two weeks of the season.

6 – Hayden Miller

Hayden Miller secures the sixth spot on this week’s top 10 list with his victory in Sunday’s $5,000 Main Event at the Great American Bracket Races Back to School Jr. Dragster Spectacular.

7 – Michael Boswell

Michael Boswell earned a spot on this week’s Top 10 list after sweeping the TLR Promotions Clash at the Beach event on Saturday. He won the main event on Saturday and followed that up with a win in the Junior Dragster Shootout later in the evening.

8 – Aubree Gramlich

Aubree Gramlich takes 8th place after winning in the 10-12 age group on both Saturday and Sunday at the Mid Michigan Motorplex last weekend.

9 (Tie) – Xavier Butler

Xavier Butler secured 8th place after winning the 11.90 Index class on Friday and the Novice class on Saturday at the Bottom Bulb Bash at US 131 Motorsports Park.

9 (Tie) – Ryan Alexander

After a win and a second place finish the previous weekend, DragChamp Pro member Ryan Alexander continued his success at the Great American Bracket Races Back to School Jr. Dragster Spectacular. He started the weekend with a second place finish in the Friday Christmas on the Coast Gamblers Race. Then on Saturday, he made it to the final nine cars with two spots, losing one and then the other in five cars in the $5K main race. On Sunday, he made it to the final five cars with two spots, losing one and then finishing second in the $5K. Ryan picked up 22 round wins over the course of the weekend.

10 (Tie) – Kynlee Darr

Kynlee Darr nearly pulled off a one-two finish last weekend at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park, winning the Minors class on Sunday and taking second place on Saturday. In the last two weeks, Kynlee has reached four finals and won two of them.

10 (Tie) – Leah Smith

DragChamp Pro member Leah Smith is on a tear, winning the last four events she has competed in. This past weekend she won the IHRA Sportsman Spectacular at Ethridge Motorsports Park.
