Donald Trump flew to campaign events in Jeffrey Epstein’s old plane

Former President Donald Trump flew from Montana to Wyoming to Colorado for campaign rallies on a Gulfstream jet previously owned by the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, the New York Times reported.

The Gulfstream jet used by Trump is not the aircraft known as the “Lolita Express,” which Epstein reportedly used to smuggle young girls to and from his private island.

Trump’s official plane, known informally as “Trump Force One,” experienced mechanical problems on Friday en route to a rally in Bozeman, Montana. His team called Private Jet Services Group to get a replacement. It turned out to be Epstein’s former Gulfstream jet.

Trump’s campaign team told the Miami Herald that it had no knowledge that the jet had previously belonged to Epstein.

“The campaign was not aware that the charter plane was owned by Mr. Epstein. We learned of the former owner through the media,” a spokeswoman said.

The plane is now owned by a California-based charter airline, Threshold Aviation Group, The Herald reported.

Epstein was arrested in 2019 for sex trafficking minors, some as young as 14. Just one month after his arrest, he committed suicide in his prison cell.

The former president and Epstein moved in the same social circles for many years and were often photographed together in the late 1990s.

Trump’s name is also mentioned in court documents related to Epstein released earlier this year, although he has since tried to distance himself.
