Who is Robert Irwin dating?
Although he has not yet confirmed his relationship status, there is speculation that Robert Irwin may be in a relationship with fellow Australia Zoo employee Charlotte Briggs.
Although the couple has not yet spoken about their alleged relationship, photos that Daily Mail in July 2024 show the couple walking through Sydney Airport alongside Robert’s mother Terri, before later being spotted making a “flirtatious appearance” in the lobby of their hotel.
Before his alleged new romance, the 20-year-old was most recently in a relationship with Rorie Buckey.
Why did Robert and Rory break up?
When Robert Irwin and his ex-girlfriend Rore Buckey announced their separation in February 2024, they released a joint statement confirming their separation after 18 months together.
“We would like to announce that we have decided to go our separate ways, but we deeply value the time we spent together and wish each other the very best for the future,” Robert wrote on Instagram.
“We would like to express our gratitude and respect for each other as we continue our journeys on different paths.”
The couple began dating in November 2022, and after confirming their relationship in July 2023, Robert and Rorie have been spotted together on numerous red carpets around the world.
After making their relationship public, Rorie and Robert made their first major international appearance, traveling to Singapore together to attend the 2023 Earthshot Prize Awards.
Robert was one of the A-list celebrities invited to speak at the HRH Prince William and Royal Foundation Awards. Each year the Prince recognises five winners for their services to the environment.
“What an unforgettable evening hosting the Earthshot Prize Awards,” wrote Robert Instagram, after walking the green carpet with his then-partner. “Thank you to His Royal Highness Prince William for inviting Rorie and me and a huge thank you to the incredible team, fellow presenters and hosts. A night of hope for the future of our environment.”
Following the event, Rorie shared a snapshot on Instagram and captioned the post, “Love spending life with you.” “I love you Rorie,” Robert commented.
Throughout their relationship, the couple posted regular updates on social media and their new romance soon gained a loyal fan base.
Robert’s sister Bindi Irwin also seemed to be a fan and wrote to Instagram in October 2023: “My brother’s beautiful girlfriend @roriebuckey. Sweetest soul, beautiful friend, I love her dearly and you usually see (Bindi’s daughter) Grace just following her everywhere because she adores her.”
Who is Rorie Buckey?
Rorie is the niece of the late Australian actor Heath Ledger. Her mother, Kate Ledger, is Heath’s sister.
The 19-year-old is a twin and has a close bond with her sister Scarlett. The sisters are both studying at Curtin University in Perth, with Rorie doing a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy and Scarlett studying Pharmacy.
Their relationship is so strong that their mother Kate wrote a series of novels about the sisters, called Twin magic.
