DNC Day 3: What to expect on the third day of the Democratic Party Convention

The third Democratic Party Convention will continue in Chicago on Wednesday. The focus will be on how the party’s new list will fight for American freedom.

The second day of the congress The assembled delegates were effusive in their support for the Harris-Walz ticket. State by state, delegations gathered Tuesday in a ceremonial roll call vote to nominate Vice President Kamala Harris for president, with prominent Democrats – and celebrities like rapper Lil Jon and actress Eva Longoria – representing their states.

Former President Barack Obama was the headliner on the second night of the convention, delivering a spirited speech about his hope for the future and paying sincere tribute to his former Vice President, Mr Biden, while issuing dire warnings against a return of Donald Trump to the White House. Also speaking that evening were the former First Lady Michelle Obama and second gentleman Doug Emhoffamong others. And the most eagerly awaited appearances – by Harris and her running mate – are still to come.

Each day of the convention will have a theme related to the slogan “For the People, For Our Future.” Wednesday’s theme is “A Fight for Our Freedoms,” with the party highlighting how Harris will work to protect Americans’ freedoms while portraying Trump as a threat to those same principles.

The program for Day 3 began at 5:30 p.m. CT or 6:30 p.m. ET.

Who is speaking?

Harris’ running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, will deliver the keynote address as he formally accepts the vice presidential nomination and introduces himself on the national stage.

The list of speakers includes former President Bill Clinton, former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, and many others.
