Immediately following SDCC 2024 will be Disney’s massive fan convention, which is expected to reveal as much news about the future of Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar, Disney Animation and the Disney Parks as a traditional Comic-Con. Everyone from Kevin Feige to Pete Doctor to Kathleen Kennedy and… er, Mickey Mouse…? has arrived for the weekend of festivities. And the stakes are high; with even Disney CEO Bob Iger admitting on conference calls that Disney needs to get over its crisis, this is the phase where everything could change for the better.

On Friday, Disney presented its big Entertainment Showcase, which included long-awaited reveals and plenty of treats for diehard fans. There were plenty of sequels, a few original projects, and plenty of promises of what Disney will be big on in 2025 and 2026. Things like:

• Exclusive footage from the Marvel room Daredevil: Rebornwith the return of Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), Kingpin (Vincent D’Onofrio), Punisher (Jon Bernthal) and the revelation of the new hero White Tiger and the villain Muse.
• A breathtaking glimpse into the recently completed Tron: Aresalong with the announcement that Nine Inch Nails would take over soundtrack duties from Daft Punk.
• A new trailer for Vaiana 2 – The Great Adventurewhich sheds a little more light on the story
• A look behind the scenes Andor Season 2, which is scheduled to be released in 2025 (and will star Ben Mendelsohn as his Villain One Character Krennic!) and The Mandalorian and GroguPrincipal photography has just begun and will be released in 2026.
• A first look at Toy Story 5which is about technologically advanced toys and pits Woody against 50 malfunctioning Buzz figures.
