Diddy calls Lil Rod’s claims “pure fiction” in new motion

Diddy calls Lil Rod’s claims “pure fiction” in new motion

Diddy is fighting back against the sensational lawsuit filed by Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones, in which he accuses the bad boy mogul of sexually harassing, drugging and threatening him. NBC News received a motion from Diddy’s legal team on Monday in which they demand that Jones’ lawsuit be dismissed. His lawyer Tyrone Blackburn filed the lawsuit in February. They are demanding $30 million in damages.

The motion claims that Jones’ lawsuit is full of lies. “It is nearly 100 pages long and contains countless tall tales, shameless celebrity names and irrelevant images,” it says. Diddy’s attorney Erica Wolff added in a statement, “Mr. Jones’ lawsuit is pure fiction – a shameless attempt to create a media frenzy and get a quick settlement. There was no RICO conspiracy and Mr. Jones was not threatened, manipulated, attacked or trafficked. We look forward to proving in court that all of Mr. Jones’ claims are fabricated and must be dismissed.” They also accused Jones of trying to “create a media frenzy and exploit it to get a settlement.”

Blackburn then said he had not yet had a chance to read the motion in full, but reiterated his support for his client. “This is clearly a score-settling exercise by people who are late to the case, trying to line their pockets before their client is charged,” he said. Blackburn is also representing April Lampros, who is suing Diddy for four alleged sexual harassment counts. Diddy has previously denied those allegations as well.

The string of lawsuits against Diddy began last year when Cassie accused him of rape, sex trafficking and assault in a lawsuit of her own. The two quickly settled that case. Stay tuned for more updates on Diddy on HotNewHipHop.
