Devin Booker’s second Olympic gold medal, won in Paris, may have been his greatest redemption yet. The Phoenix Suns’ star guard’s value has increased tremendously due to his key role as a “superstar role player” who does all the unheralded dirty work and delivers points when needed. Already considered one of the best scorers in today’s game, D Book is finally being recognized as the all-around anchor a championship-level team needs.

On his Instagram, Booker shared a closer look at these Nike Book 1 Player Exclusives that were made specifically for the Gold Medal Final a few weeks ago. Wearing the navy pair with the iridescent safari-patterned Swoosh, Devin helped Team USA win the gold medal in exciting fashion. He also revealed a white “home” colorway that wasn’t used, but perhaps he and Nike have something planned in the future.

What caught our eye was his suggested name for this dynamic sneaker duo. The “I’ll Do It” pack? is a direct nod to his legendary tweet response to close friend Kyle Kuzma, who challenged NBA stars to take on that important role as a role player. Booker simply responded with “I’ll Do It” and delivered on that promise in spades in Paris.

It would be great if these were made available to the public to some extent, although this has not been confirmed. However, the next Book 1 is Book 1 “Python” in September.
