Devin Booker hilariously calls out ‘clueless’ Tyrese Haliburton for popping champagne

Devin Booker hilariously calls out ‘clueless’ Tyrese Haliburton for popping champagne

After Team USA won the gold medal game against France at the 2024 Olympic Games, the celebrations began in the locker room. As the players celebrated their victory, Tyrese Haliburton came with an expensive champagne. However, he quickly had no idea how to open the wine, and Devin Booker to make jokes about it.

A video circulating online shows Haliburton holding the champagne bottle in the USA’s locker room. The hilarious clip was shared on Instagram by his teammate Devin Booker. In the video, Booker can be heard repeatedly asking the Indiana Pacers star: “Do you know what to do with it?” And to which he replied: “No idea.”

The video has drawn a lot of reaction from fans. Some have been amused by Tyrese Haliburton’s response, while others have teased Booker for his questions and said he doesn’t know how to open champagne either. According to the latter group, the Phoenix Suns star has no experience opening champagne since he has never won a championship.

While the NBA stars have yet to win a league title with their respective teams, there’s no denying that they’re both Olympic champions. In addition, Booker has performed well for himself, helping the U.S. to its fifth consecutive gold medal. The 27-year-old is a two-time gold medalist himself, starting all six games at the Paris Olympics and averaging 11.7 points per game.

Devin Booker believes the NBA title is harder to win than Olympic gold

Although Devin Booker has participated in two Olympic Games and won two gold medals, he believes that it is more difficult to win in the NBA. He justifies this by saying that the league attracts the best talent in world basketball. According to him, the level of difficulty is higher than in the Olympic Games because of these top players.

I feel like all the best talent in the world is in the NBA, and this is coming from an Olympic gold medalist (who believes) that being an NBA champion is probably harder to do.

Devin Booker said in an interview after winning the gold medal

With the United States men’s basketball team having won five straight gold medals and dominating the world stage for decades, it’s all too easy for Booker to do so. And considering he’s already had success in two Games, it’s not hard to see why he thinks so.
