Devin Booker discusses with Rachel Nichols the reasons for publishing Book 1 in “Around Paris”

Devin Booker is using his time in Paris to give back to his fans and market his signature shoe with a genius tactic. The Phoenix Suns guard has been posting videos of himself leaving a pair of Book 1s around the city for fans to find.

The videos of excited children finding unsupervised couples from issue 1 on the streets of Paris have caused a great stir.

NBA reporter Rachel Nichols recently asked the US team guard why he was giving away $150 worth of shoes. Booker explained that he wanted to show his love to the fans who supported him and the US team during their stay in Paris.

“I just try to get people involved. I try to stay in touch with the streets. I try to be in touch with the culture in the most authentic way possible…”

“I cycled all over the city. Just the opportunity to make such surprise finds and meet some Devin Booker fans out here in Paris was an unforgettable sight,” Booker added.

Although Booker has thrown up a few surprises for his fans, his most loyal followers didn’t have to go on a treasure hunt to get their hands on a pair of his signature shoes. The Suns star was filmed walking up to fans in the streets of Paris wearing his jersey and gifting them a pair of Book 1s.

He plans to pass on the love he has received until he is on the flight home from France. Booker’s treasure hunt debut did not take place in Paris.

During All-Star weekend in Indianapolis, he went live on Instagram, hid a pair of signed, orange Book 1 books in a random alley and told fans that the first person to find them gets to keep them. One lucky fan found the shoes before the security guard could leave the area.

Booker’s stay in Paris will soon end as Team USA’s Olympic campaign comes to a close following Saturday’s gold medal match against Team France. His main goal upon arriving in France was to return to Phoenix with a gold medal.

However, he found a way to give back to his supporters and market his signature shoe with an incredible gesture.
