David Sanchez identifies Alpine’s goals and objectives for the second half of 2024

Alpine’s Executive Technical Director David Sanchez has outlined the key objectives the team will focus on in the second half of 2024 after the squad recorded mixed results in the first 14 races of the season.

It has been an eventful year for Alpine both on and off the track. In addition to several changes in management and technical structures, the Enstone-based company has also had to contend with a lack of consistency in its results.

HALF-YEAR REPORT: Alpine – Another turbulent year, but are the building blocks for stability finally in place?

While there were high points – such as scoring double points in Rounds 9 and 10 in Canada and Spain – there were also low points, such as qualifying at the back of the field for the season-opening Bahrain Grand Prix.

Now that the Dutch Grand Prix is the start of the final ten races of the season, Sanchez says Alpine will look to achieve a more consistent level of performance in order to improve its points tally, which currently stands at 11 points in 8th place in the Constructors’ Championship.

“Looking at how we finished the first half of the season, our aim for the second half of the season is obviously to establish ourselves on the upper side of our performance level, which means trying to get into Q3 consistently in qualifying,” Sanchez explained in a half-time review at Alpine.
