The WNBA plans to ride the wave of increased interest – fueled largely by Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark – by hosting its next All-Star Game in Indianapolis.

The league has announced that next year’s midseason game will be held at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, the Fever’s home stadium.

“We are in the midst of a pivotal, transformative moment in the history of the WNBA and women’s basketball, and we are thrilled that Indiana will be at the center of it all, with the game’s biggest stars on display at next season’s All-Star Game,” Mel Raines, CEO of Pacers Sports & Entertainment, said in a statement.

The 2024 WNBA All-Star Game, in which a group of WNBA All-Stars defeated the eventual gold medal-winning USA team at the Olympics, achieved record ratings. Kelsey Mitchell, Aliyah Boston and Clark of the Fever played for Team WNBA.
