Daniel Radcliffe was “horrified” by the Harry Potter stunt

Daniel Radcliffe was “horrified” by a stunt he had to perform as a 15-year-old during the filming of “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.”

In one scene in the 2005 film, Harry is seen using his broomstick skills to take on a dragon during the Triwizard Tournament, but he is knocked off and falls from a roof, clinging desperately to the building.

In a new interview with Entertainment Tonight, Daniel revealed that he got to perform the stunt himself.

“They made me do the craziest stunt I could ever do,” he explained. “It was like falling 40 feet onto a roof. I was hanging from a wire, but I was in free fall. It was just there to catch me at the end.”

“And I was terrified. I had worked with the stunt department a lot at the time and they always said, ‘You can do it. Do you want to try it?’ And I said yes. But then I stood up there and was terrified.”

To date, it is the biggest stunt the 31-year-old has performed in his career and one he has had to perform several times.

“I have since realized that the circumstances on that set were very special and that I must never do something like that again,” he added.

Daniel also revealed that, to his knowledge, there are no official plans to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the world premiere of the first Harry Potter film in November 2001.

The actor will soon be seen in the third season of the TBS comedy “Miracle Workers,” which is set on the 19th century wagon route, the Oregon Trail.
