Earlier this week I spoke with Daniel André about Running on reserve. André explained why he filmed in my neighborhood, Sherman Oaks, California, and what he associates with the city. And also why the title of originally Death in Sherman Oakshe also talked about Mort’s character and what he was looking for. Of course it was also about death and how society sees him and now himself today.
