In 2012, at the beginning of a new era celebrated by the end of the Mayan calendar, a tradition was born in the jungle of Tulum.

Crowds of partygoers from all corners of the globe set out to come together in new ways, bringing their own unique perspectives, seeking an opportunity to reflect on the past year and renew a shared energy born from the collision of ancient and modern, creativity and hedonism.

The result was Day Zeroa party for eternity, created by the mind and team of Damian Lazarus. The party returns on January 11th with one of its most amazing lineups yet, announced today.

Interweaving of Mayan culture and natural wonders, Day Zero combines myth and modernity to create an alternative avant-garde universe embedded in the transcendental jungles of Tulum. The stunning production capitalizes on the mystical atmosphere of the natural setting, as laser beams pierce through lush treetops, immersive art installations flood the entire site, and local Mayan leaders perform traditional rituals throughout the night to honor the ancient cultures the festival celebrates.

A true testament to the founder’s curatorial genius Damian Lazarus, Day Zero will be accompanied from sunset to sunrise by soundtracks from pioneering trendsetters, forward-thinking selectors and live acts from the fringes and biggest stages of electronic music.

The lineup includes the impressive rave pioneer Fatboy SlimAmapiano flag bearer Major League DJzworld-famous club icon DJ HarveyBerlin’s contagious Patrick MasonFounder of All Day I Dream Lee BurridgeSCI + TEC Label Manager Dubfireand NYC house legend Victor Calderone. As the first international festival in Mexico with a stage dedicated exclusively to Mexican artists, Day Zero will once again present a diverse lineup of innovative Mexican talents Stage of the Teatro.

His disregard for the rules through genre-bending arrangements and reworkings seamlessly showcases a fabled devotion to music history alongside a flair for the dance floor that is considered by many to be the work of pure magic.
