This thought-provoking masterclass with Laura Dockrill is designed to get you started, whatever your writing experience. With a generous and playful approach, Laura will help you bring out your ideas and hone your skills.

This workshop will give you the confidence and tools you need to start writing. It invites you to be curious and try new things with your words. You will receive inspirational prompts, creative tools and encouraging guidance to help you put ideas on paper and experiment with your unique voice as a writer.

Laura Dockrill is a multi-talented, award-winning and incredibly prolific author of all genres. Her many children’s books include the hugely popular Darcy Burdock series and most recently Grey. Her haunting memoir, What Have I Done?, was widely acclaimed as one of the best nonfiction books of 2020. As a playwright, her work has been performed at the Royal Festival Hall and the Young Vic. Her novel I Love You, I Love You, I Love You will be published in June 2024. She is also a judge for the Women’s Prize for Fiction 2024.
