Crazy fans are upset because Brian Kelly Lane mocks Kiffin’s Coke

Crazy fans are upset because Brian Kelly Lane mocks Kiffin’s Coke

LSU head coach Brian Kelly has some odd tendencies, let’s get that clear first. But to be fair to Kelly, he coaches at a school where one of the national championship coaches ate grass on the field (regularly) and another national championship coach sounded like a cartoon character based on Cajun stereotypes. So his “odd” isn’t entirely The strange.

However, there are some really angry fans who try to portray him as a complete psychopath because of his great troll work.

It started when Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin decided to criticize major sponsor Coca Cola during a press conference. He asked if anyone actually drank Coke and then called someone in the room “on coke.” Check out this nutcase here…

So Brian Kelly decided to open the first press conference after this little Lane Kiffin appearance with a sip of Smart Water, a product of Coca Cola. In addition to drinking the product, he thanked the company for their sponsorship and spoke fully in favor of their products. You can see this troll job here:

So that’s how it is, right? Kiffin insults a major sponsor, Brian Kelly makes fun of it, and we go about our business. Well, except that there are some crazy fans who now think Brain Kelly is the one who looks like an idiot after ripping off Kiffin.

I kid you not. You can watch these two videos back to back and see that Kelly obviously got one over on the Ole Miss coach. But the level of understanding in certain corners of the internet keeps some users from following. So much so that The Sun wrote an entire article about it and called Brian Kelly “embarrassing” in the headline.

This actually makes me wonder if we’re being trolled by The Sun. Not in the funny ‘ha ha’ way that people troll each other online, but more in the ‘attitude was so bad I have to say now I was only kidding and it was a troll job and you just didn’t get it, it was really funny’ way.

The Sun says, “Most fans found the joke unconvincing when commenting on it on social media.” But they don’t provide any links or sources other than “Trust me bro.” Basically, this is promoting what could be Lane Kiffin’s 4 Burner accounts and taking them as gospel. It’s also worth noting that The Sun is such a great source of information that they misspelled Kiffin’s name all over their “story” about the joke.

At this point, I’m not sure if these crazy Lane Kiffin fans actually write the social media posts first or put them together while they’re writing copy for their day job at The Sun.
