Connor Hall’s old-school approach to racing

Connor Hall’s old-school approach to racing

In this episode of “Bringing the Heat with Bryan Nolen,” Michael Massie talks with Connor Hall, the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series national champion who made his NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series debut last weekend in Richmond.

Massie and Hall talk about his debut at his home track, his future plans in the Truck Series and how he balances a full-time job and his racing career.

After speaking with Hall, Massie and Nolen react to the wild finish at Richmond last weekend and the penalty ultimately given to Austin Dillon. They discuss whether NASCAR was right or too harsh in its penalty and what future impact it could have on the sport.

For this week’s Soundbite, Massie and Nolen reacted to Daniel Suarez’s comments about the tire options at Richmond and consider whether this was a successful experiment that NASCAR could use in the future.

The show ends with some final thoughts on the bigger picture, whether NASCAR’s current win-and-in format is the best for the sport or whether it needs changes or different parameters.
