Coco Gauff flaunts LeBron James and Devin Booker collaboration despite million luxury that isolates USA Basketball

The US Olympic team had a great tour to Paris. The team returned home with the most medals (126), including 40 gold medals. Coco Gauff, who unfortunately could not win a medal, recently talked about her best experience at the Olympic Games in Paris. Although she stayed in the Olympic Village, unlike LeBron James & Co., Gauff considered working with the US men’s basketball team to be one of the best moments.

In addition to the sporting events, the Olympic Village and the facilities available to athletes also attracted global attention. It is a massive facility that can accommodate over 10,000 athletes from all over the world with food, accommodation, recreational facilities and fitness rooms. While the facilities were difficult for some to navigate, they brought out the best social content creators in others.

Tennis Channel interviewed the stars representing Team USA to talk about their experiences living in the Village. While others talked about the cramped situation of living with 8 people in an apartment, Coco Gauff had something different to say. She added: “It was really cool. It felt like a big college campus. I met Steph Curry, Devin Booker, Bam Adebayo. The list goes on, Joel Embiid. The whole team, they’re all obviously legends of the game. The 20-year-old indeed had a commendable opportunity at a very young age. She was chosen to be the US flag bearer at the opening ceremony alongside LeBron James, whom she “Biggest”. Still, one might wonder how Gauff got to know the basketball superstar if they never actually stayed in the Village. Let’s find out more about the $15 million luxury.

What is the $15 million privilege that LeBron James and Co. enjoyed?

The USA basketball team has been a part of the Dream Team 1992. It was the first time that NBA players participated in the Olympic Games. The management provided the basketball team with accommodation in a star hotel, unlike the other athletes who were housed in the Olympic Village. And this tradition has continued at every single Olympic event since then.

It was no different at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. Forbes The interview revealed that the management has booked an entire hotel with 800 rooms to accommodate the players and their families. In addition, not only the men’s basketball team is there, but also the women’s team and golf stars who represent the US side. Forbes The total cost of accommodating the stars at the event has been estimated at a whopping $15 million.

Justin Birnbaum, who appreciated the award, added: “We estimate the total cost to be about $15 million. That includes all kinds of things like travel, charters, accommodation, transportation. When you’re not in the Olympic Village, you have to organize your own logistics, whether it’s organizing the training sessions and games, there are a lot of costs associated with that.”

The question of how Coco Gauff met basketball players who did not live in the Village is simple: The players visited the facility, regularly watched the sporting events and met the athletes.
