Cleveland Browns News (8/25): Trades, Jim Schwartz is good at his job, QB debates and more!

The NFL is doing a lot of things right, especially when it comes to game scheduling.

Big games are generally broadcast in prime time or late afternoon to get maximum exposure. Of course, the league buys too many teams each season, which is why fans had to endure New York Jets games last season for longer than was humanly reasonable. But for the most part, the league does a good job.

That wasn’t the case on Saturday, however, as officials decided it would be a wonderful idea for the Cleveland Browns to kick off their final preseason game at 10 p.m. Cleveland time.

This decision left fans in a dilemma. Sleep well because it’s a meaningless game where the main thing is that no one gets hurt, so why watch?

Or do you reach for too much caffeine to stay awake until the early hours of the morning and experience the thrill of the fourth quarter when you see many players in their uniforms for the last time?

The world is hard enough as it is, so shame on the NFL for putting another burden on Browns fans.

We’ll have plenty of game news throughout the day, so dive right into today’s edition of Sunday Dawg Chow.
