Clark County Council member John Miller was taken into custody by Indiana State Police on Friday, spokesman Captain Ron Galaviz confirmed.

Noel has pleaded guilty to all charges, but will appear in court on Monday for a hearing to change his guilty pleaHe is currently in custody on bail of nearly $1.5 million.

Former Clark County Council member Brittney Ferree, with whom Noel has a child, is also charged with abuse of office. Galaviz said Friday afternoon that they are still actively searching for her to arrest.

Search warrant documents released in July show Noel paid for several trips with Ferree with funding from New Chapel EMS while on council. Noel formerly managed New Chapel.

LPM News previously reported that Ferree admitted to police that she voted on funding for the New Chapel – which until recently served all of Clark County — while she was with Noel.

Court documents from earlier this month also show that Noel paid for Miller’s travel, meals and concert tickets. The council member’s term is set to end this year after he lost his bid for re-election in the primary.
