Brandon Williamson looked good at times in his 2.2 innings, allowing just one hit and no runs. He managed four swings and four misses on his changeup. The only problem on the night was his struggle with throwing strikes. He walked one batter, but he only threw 26 strikes on 50 pitches.

The win put Daytona 29-23 in the second half, putting them 4.5 games ahead of Jupiter and in the playoffs with 12 games remaining.

Esmith Pineda was in top form for the first three weeks of August, but he was 0-15 over his final four games last week. He snapped out of that slump Tuesday night with two doubles and a walk to start the series against Palm Beach.

David Lorduy has pitched in four games since being traded to Daytona in the second week of August, throwing 3.0 innings in all four games without allowing an earned run. He has allowed just four hits, benched just one batter via walks and now has 14 strikeouts for the Tortugas. This after posting a 2.76 ERA in 42.1 innings for the ACL Reds this season.

In his last four appearances, Dualvert Gutierrez has allowed two runs while throwing 18.0 innings. His ERA has now dropped to 3.35 in 45.2 innings with Daytona.
