Cagle made his debut on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart with “My Love Goes On and On,” a single from his debut album Play It Loud.

Cagle’s country roots run deep, having moved from Louisiana to the Houston suburbs when he was four. His musical roots go almost as far. He started taking guitar lessons at six, but didn’t stick with them. He took piano lessons in high school and picked up the guitar again in his senior year.

Although Cagle initially went to college after high school, it wasn’t long before he dropped out of college to pursue his passion for music. Cagle put in a lot of work and made it. After years of trying to make it in Nashville, Cagle was signed by the president of Virgin Records Nashville.

Cagle hit the ground running. His first single, “My Love Goes on and On,” hit the country charts in July 2000 and eventually reached the top 20. His first album, “Play It Loud,” followed in October. It hit the country charts and his track “Laredo” made the country top 40.

His musical career then included a move to Capitol Records and additional music with his albums Anywhere But Here and My Life’s Been a Country Song.

After taking a break to get married and start a family, Cagle returned to the music scene with the Big Picture Music Group and the single “Got My Country On”.
