One of the accused was also observed pouring chili powder on the thief’s back and stuffing it into his rectum with a pencil.

In a shocking incident, a group of men stuffed chilli powder into a man’s private parts after accusing him of theft in Araria in Bihar.

The incident was captured on video and is now going viral on social media. In the video, the man can be seen with his hands tied behind his back and his pants open while the men force him to get on his knees.

After the video gained attention on social media, a person named Mohammad Sifat, who was seen in the clip, was arrested. One of the accused was also seen sprinkling chili powder on the thief’s back and stuffing it into his rectum using a pencil. The group of men even searched the man thoroughly.

Reacting to the incident, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav strongly criticised the Nitish Kumar government. He said the incident showed the “Taliban rule” in Bihar. On his official X-account, the RJD leader said, “My party and I talk about the rights and share of Dalits, the downtrodden and the minorities, so the casteists always see our rule as jungle rule.”

BJP IT chief Amit Malviya also reacted to the incident. He mocked Tejashwi Yadav’s comment and asked, “Do those who talk about Taliban rule refer to Muslims as Talibani before asking them for their votes?”

According to police, quoted by India today The incident took place in Islamnagar, Araria, and on Tuesday, charges were filed under Section 109 (attempt to murder) and Section 117(4) (causing grievous bodily harm by a group of five or more persons) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.

Police said one of the accused had been arrested in connection with the incident and efforts were underway to identify and arrest the other people involved.
