CHICAGO (WLS) — The Chicago White Sox and the owners of Guarantee Rate Field are facing a lawsuit stemming from the shooting at the baseball stadium last year.
Nearly a year after attendees at a White Sox game were hit by gunfire, one of the victims is filing a lawsuit.

In the August 2023 incident, two women were injured in the stands of the stadium. A video from that day shows the reaction of the two women when they realized they had been shot.
An unidentified woman filed a lawsuit Thursday seeking more than $50,000 in damages.

It is still unclear who fired the shots. The exact circumstances of the shooting and whether the bullets came from inside or outside are also still unclear.
ABC7 reached out to the White Sox for comment and a spokesperson stated that the team does not comment on pending litigation.
