The Fever, currently battling for a playoff spot, entered the game with a 13-16 record and seventh place in the WNBA standings. Clark and the Fever knew they had a lot at stake as they faced a determined Dream team led by Rhyne Howard. Atlanta, which entered the game with a 10-18 record and ninth place, also had playoff aspirations, so both teams needed to win.

Clark, who has been a standout in her rookie season, also had a stellar performance against the Dream. She finished with 19 points, seven rebounds, seven assists, two steals and one block, showcasing her all-around game. The win was crucial for the Fever, who are looking to solidify their playoff position as the regular season winds down.

One of the most meaningful moments of the night came late in the third quarter when Clark tied Howard’s WNBA rookie record for most three-pointers made in a single season. With her fifth three-pointer of the game, Clark made her 85th of the season, tying Howard’s record, which she set just a year earlier.

The Fever have 10 games left in the regular season, giving Clark plenty of opportunity to break the record. Her ability to hit three-point shots is a key part of her game. Averaging 17.9 points, 5.7 rebounds and 8.3 assists per game, Clark has quickly established herself as one of the league’s most promising young stars.
