Bureau County hosts electronics recycling meetup in Princeton on October 19 – Shaw Local

The next Bureau County electronics recycling event will be held on Saturday, October 19, at the Bureau County Highway Department, 595 Elm Place, Princeton.

The vehicle lineup begins on Elm Street. The event will take place regardless of weather. Proof of Bureau County residency is required (driver’s license, voter ID, current utility bill). A maximum of seven items are allowed. Only electronic items manufactured in Bureau County will be accepted. No businesses or institutions. Large quantities of disassembled or de-manufactured listed items will also not be accepted.

Volunteers will help unload items. Do not leave items outside the collection point as it is monitored by cameras 24/7. Computers often contain very personal information, so it is strongly recommended to wipe the hard drive before dropping off a computer or storage device for recycling.
