Bulldog’s epic parkour zoomies are a must-see spectacle

Bulldog’s epic parkour zoomies are a must-see spectacle

It can be fun to speculate about what dogs might be thinking, especially when they are bursting with happiness. Even if they don’t express their thoughts with words, they communicate with their bodies and faces.

This happy Bulldog leaves no doubt about his current state of mind, but you might wonder if this exuberance will cause him a little pain the next day.

Check out his unique way of expressing his feelings in this video from August 9.

I’ve never seen a zoomie like that before! Tyson (@tysonthegangstabully) is an enthusiastic guy who likes to show his excitement with a stop drop and roll technique, and this English bulldog’s joy comes across well. I love how he checks in on his parents after each roll to make sure they see his trick! LOL! While these parkour-style zoomies look really fun, if he were human, he might end up with some bruised ribs. Thankfully, our dogs never have trouble getting back up to do it again, so maybe that’s why they ask for extra treats to build up some cushioning. That’s one argument I could make.

How dogs communicate happiness

Dogs express their love for us in a variety of ways. Some look into our eyes, while others listen intently to our voice. Their excited greeting when we come home, including tail wagging, kissing, and endless wiggling, also shows their devotion and affection. They also show their joy by playing, running around wildly, or relaxing by leaning against us. Although jumping is not encouraged in most situations, it is also a sign of their enthusiasm, as are spinning, licking, and snuggling. Many even bring us gifts to show us how pleased they are to see us, and sleeping next to us at night can be another way they show how much they like us.

This silly show kept people entertained! One person shared, “This is why English bulldogs are my spirit animal! They have the best personalities! Hilarious.” They really are characters. Viewer @ivzies noted, “He’s in the dryer on the spin cycle.” Ha! That’s an excellent comparison. Viewer @c.profitt reported, “My bully always did the same thing in the snow… he loved making puppy angels.” That’s understandable with the soft padding, but it can’t be as comfortable on the hard floor.

While we may never know where our dogs’ silly expressions of joy come from, one thing is always clear: They know how to get their message across. They never leave us in the dark about how happy they are to be by our side.
