Recordings of the PS5 version of Black Myth: Wukong are available online. They are short, but do not indicate any performance issues.

There are already some initial reviews of Black Myth: Wukong online. However, they only refer to the PC version. PS5 players, on the other hand, are still in the dark, which is particularly worrying given the technical problems the game is struggling with. Fortunately, there is a video that introduces the game on the console.

The Chinese branch of IGN has published gameplay of Black Myth: Wukong recorded on PlayStation 5. This is actually the first footage showing what the game looks like on Sony’s hardware. The battle with one of the bosses available in the game is shown. At first glance, it is noticeable that the game runs smoothly, without any noticeable drops in performance.

Unfortunately, the whole video only lasts less than two minutes. So it’s hard to say how the full game will play out – whether in other locations or in confrontations with groups of enemies. Nevertheless, the material gives reason to hope that the PS5 version will not share the fate of its PC counterpart (although the background textures are quite blurry). If you’re interested in how exactly Black Myth: Wukong on the PS5, you can check out the mentioned gameplay below.

According to the schedule published on Steam, Black Myth: Wukong will be released in the US on August 19th at 10:00 p.m. EDT. Those who have decided to pre-order and want to play immediately upon release can pre-install the game. Of course, this requires a corresponding amount of storage space. The PC version requires around 130 GB, while the PS5 version requires 104 GB of free storage space.
